I wrote a post similar to this a few weeks ago and people seemed to enjoy it so I'm back but this time, I'm talking concealers. This is a product that I wear every day to cover imperfections and hide away my dark circles. Admittedly, I haven't tried out a high-end concealer therefore this post will be drugstore based. I have two that are my all time favourites and these are: the Collection Lasting Perfection and the Rimmel Wake Me Up. If you have read my 'Battle of the foundations' post you will recognise that I'm talking about another product in the 'Wake Me Up' range.
Ever since I can remember, the Collection concealer has been a major hype. Everyone seems to rave about it! I can see why though as the coverage is amazing and it stays in place all day. With this concealer, I find that it is better at covering imperfections than dark circles. Whereas, the Rimmel one works well as an under-eye concealer. From my swatches above, you can tell that the one on the right has a more orangey tint to it! This is similar to the Wake Me Up foundation in the sense that it brightens your face with this tint.
I find that it is easier to work with the collection concealer as it blends out more easily. However, the packaging of this product isn't as good because the words rub off and sometimes the concealer sticks to the seal. This isn't a major problem; the product itself is what should really matter. The Wake Me Up concealer, I find, is better to use in the summer months because I like my face to look more radiant then.
Overall, I would say that I prefer the Lasting Perfection concealer as it really covers all of my imperfections and stays in place all day. They are both similarly priced at about £4-5. My dark circles don't tend to get that bad so that's why I don't tend to reach for the Wake Me Up as much. In contrast, if you want to get both - go for it! You could have the Rimmel as an under-eye concealer and the Collection one to use elsewhere. They would be a perfect duo!

I ALWAYS have these two concealers in my make-up bag. I use my Rimmel one as my main concealer and to brighten under the eye, but I use the Collection lasting perfection on any major blemishes or imperfections.

Yeah, they both work really well! I should probably buy another of each to keep in a makeup bag for touch ups during the day!

Usually I use a l'oréal concealer, but I often reach out to my wake me up or collections lasting perfection-definitely worth purchasing! :)

Really interesting to read! I use the 'Wake me Up' concealer on a day to day basis so maybe I'll try out the 'Lasting Perfection' one now. Great read x
