Collective clothing haul!

Thursday 25 June 2015

To start off, I definitely didn't buy this all in one go! I bought these on several different occasions over the past few months...

I got these about 2 weeks ago from Topshop and I have been wearing them a lot! They are 7/8ths so the trouser leg doesn't go all the way down to my ankle. As they are definitely not the subtle type, I wear a black t-shirt and black pumps with them.

I purchased these in Jack Wills when I was in Cornwall. Every night of that holiday, I would put them on in the evening because they are so comfy. These are my favourite slouchy joggers!

It is my grandparents golden wedding anniversary this summer and I needed a dress to wear to the party. This is from Topshop and it is one of those off the shoulder sleeves.

When I saw this in H&M, I thought it was so fun. It is the type of dress that you can throw on in the summer, maybe over a bikini after the beach.

Normally, I don't buy clothes with a vibrant colour but I thought it looked nice on in the Topshop changing rooms. I like the style of this because it has cut outs  around the stomach.

This is from Topshop (again) and I chose it because I thought it was quite bohemian; something I could have worn if I went to Coachella - maybe next year ;)!

I needed some more work out tops so I thought this would be good. You can't really tell from the photo but it has a criss-cross back.

This is very summery top which I will be wearing a lot in summer. Once again, it is from Topshop; I'm obsessed with the clothes there at the moment! It is slightly cropped but when you wear it, it's not that obvious as the flowers cover your stomach.

Have you bought anything nice recently! :)

Capturing the good times: May/June

Sunday 14 June 2015

A few weeks ago, I tweeted and I wrote a post explaining why my uploads would be less frequent or non-existent for a while. Now I'm back and finished the majority of my exams so I can get back into blogging. I have lots of posts planed; hopefully I can make up for the time I missed!

Cornwall

Near the end of May, I went on holiday to Cornwall with my family for a week. It was such a lovely trip to get away and enjoy some time by the beach. Whilst there I wanted to learn how to surf so I booked to join a surf school for a few lessons. At the start, I wasn't very good and couldn't stand on the board as my balance isn't great at the best of times. It was certainly physically challenging especially as I was doing it most days! With all new things, you have to practice in order to better yourself and I was quite impatient to start with, thinking that I would never be able to surf properly. However after a few sessions in the sea, I was able to stand up and surf to the beach - not every time but if I caught a good wave, I managed to do it. This was a exciting skill and I'm really happy I took the time to learn how to surf!

We stayed in Mawgan Porth so the beach was only a minute away which was lovely because in the evening we could sit at a bar and watch the world go by. Other places that we visited were: Watergate Bay, Holywell beach, Crantock beach and Padstow - the usual places we end up at when we visit Cornwall. Below are some photos of my holiday, I don't have many because I was mainly surfing but these are the ones I took. I had such an amazing holiday and I hope to go back soon.

5sos concert

I went to a 5 Seconds of Summer concert last week and it was so good! When I saw One Direction last year, they were the support act and I really enjoyed their music so I was delighted when I was asked to go. It was such an amazing night, my friend and I sang the whole way through - we even caught our bad singing on the videos we took, which is really funny! A band named 'Hey Violet' were supporting them and I thought they were actually very cool. As a result of the strobe lighting and it being dark, the photos I took aren't the brilliant quality but these are the best of them.
